Groups & DSOs

RCM processes that scale with your DSO

Foji runs the same verification at every location, writes it into the system each office already uses, and gives the group one view of what happened. Every acquisition adds to your bottom line, it no longer adds verification head aches.

The group problem

What scale does to verification

A single office feels verification as work. A group feels it four different ways, and three of them never show up on payroll.

Growth adds the work before the margin

A new location brings a full verification load on day one. The work follows front desks, not revenue, so you pay for it before the site pays for itself.

Every office does it differently

The same check is thorough at one office and rushed at another, depending who is working. Nobody at the group can tell which, because the only record is what got typed in.

You find out what went wrong weeks later

A benefit read wrong stays quiet. It turns up weeks later as a denial, at a location nobody was watching, long after anyone remembers the call.

Each practice you buy brings its own process

An acquired office comes with its own logins, its own quirks and its own standards. Until someone rebuilds it by hand, you have inherited a second way of working.

Each of these is small on its own — a portal check, the minutes, a denial chased weeks later. Across a group, they are not.

What Foji does about each one

How Foji allows Groups and DSOs to scale efficiently.

Every new acquisition runs like site one

Foji verifies at a new location the day it opens, to the same standard as everywhere else. Opening a site means setting up payer logins, not waiting for someone to be trained into the work.

One standard, not twenty

Every location runs the same checks against the same fields, in the same order. Quality stops depending on who is working that week.

You see it at verification, not on the EOB

Foji does not guess. A mismatch is flagged for review, the breakdown is filed to the chart, and every run is recorded, so a problem surfaces while it is still fixable.

Acquisitions join the standard

We set up the new office's payer logins and it runs what every other site runs. There is no old process to rebuild and no second way of working to manage.

Rollout

Standard where it should be, flexible where it has to be

Standardized across the group

You tell us how you want your verification and benefits to work, we'll work with you to standardize that process across every location.

Customized per office

We work with 150+ Payer Portals and multiple PMS's which means we can work with you to customize where needed.

Your numbers

What verification costs across the group today

Check out how this cost compounds for your DSO. The more locations you operate, the more things add up. Enter your details below to see what it could be costing you.

Defaults are starting points, not our claim about your group. For reference: CAQH puts a single portal-based verification at $4.37 and a manual claim-status call at $12.01, and the same benefit check runs about 12 minutes done thoroughly, closer to 24 once follow-up is counted. Sources are CAQH 2024 Index dental provider figures for 2023, and CAQH 2021 timing data reported by the California Dental Association.

FAQ

Questions groups ask

How does this roll out across locations?

+

In phases. Our team sets up the portal connections for each location and turns features on at your pace, so a group can start with a handful of sites, prove the standard, and widen from there rather than switching everything at once.

What happens when we acquire a practice?

+

It comes onto the same standard as everywhere else. We set up its payer logins and it runs the checks every other site runs, so the acquired office does not keep its own process by default and the group does not inherit another quality level.

Can we see how each location is performing?

+

Yes. Foji is built on its own data platform rather than bolted onto one system, so the reporting runs across every site at once instead of office by office.

Do all our locations have to run the same practice management system?

+

Foji writes into Open Dental and Dentrix today, so a group running both is fine. Denticon, Dentrix Ascend, Eaglesoft, Curve Dental and CareStack are what we are building next; tell us what your sites run and we will tell you where each one sits.

What happens when a carrier changes its portal?

+

We detect it automatically. A portal change shows up as errors in the login process, which flags the connection for us, and we update the agent's process to pick up the change. These are typically fixed within 48 hours or less, across every location at once.

How is pricing structured for a group?

+

Per location, published, with volume tiers based on the value of payments Foji posts back to your system. Nothing is blocked or surcharged when you cross a tier; it is reassessed on a trailing average with notice. The pricing page carries the current figures.
